The sturdy stems top over rough, large foliage that effortlessly becomes smaller as it reaches the top of the shoot. Hollyhocks are perfect for the back border or along fences or walls. Hollyhocks make excellent cut or dried flowers. Hollyhocks prefer a full sun location that receives 6 or more hours of direct sunlight each day.
